In an interview with ELLE magazine, the 38-year-old said that her kids hatched up a scheme where they pretended she’d died in bed, with North teaching little brother Saint how to fake cry in order to make the situation more believable.
She explained: “[North] roped [Saint] into an April Fool’s prank yesterday that was ridiculous. She took ketchup into my bathroom and she begged me to let her spread it on me, and on the bathroom, as if it was like a bad scary movie.
“Then she asked me to lie down. I thought she was just playing, maybe that she was going to say I was hurt. No. She taught Saint how to fake cry – she showed him how to do it – and then she told him to scream, “Mummy’s dead!”
By the sounds of it, Kanye was less than impressed with the prank and gave his two oldest children a proper telling off.
“Kanye ran upstairs and he was like, “Kids, this is not funny. This is not a good prank.” I completely understand and agree, but it did make me a little impressed that they planned something together and they were getting along.”
The couple are also parents to 1-year-old Chicago West (who was presumably too young to be involved in the prank) and are set to welcome their fourth baby into the world, a son, with the help of a surrogate.
