Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got ourselves another Situation.
Or, at least, we will in the near future.
On Sunday, Mike Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, shared the following family portrait and wrote as a caption along with it:
“We have an amazing announcement!! We’re a growing family! Baby on the way January 2023 God is Good.”
Simple. Straightforward. And so very exciting!
In the comments section of his post, the veteran Jersey Shore starr was met with love from some of castmates and friends… who shared their excitement over the couple’s gigantic piece of news.
“So so so happy for you guys!!!”” wrote Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, while Jenni “JWoww” Farley only needed one word to express her enthusiasm:
Via her Instagram Story, meanwhile, Lauren added: “We’re Pregnant!”
The Sorrentinos are already parents to a 14-month old son named Romeo — who, yes, has his very own Instagram account that also confirmed a bundle of joy was on the way.
“Big brother Romeo reporting for duty,” a post on his page now reads.
“Baby coming January 2023.”
The couple, who got married in November 2018, have been candid in the past about the challenges they faced amid their journey to becoming parents.
Back in 2019, Lauren said on Good Morning America’s Strahan Sara & Keke that she had previously suffered a miscarriage.
She recalled tracking her ovulation cycles and sharing that “it worked out perfectly” that she was ovulating at the same time Mike was released from the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in New York in September of that year.
(He had served eight months behind bars for tax fraud.)
“The night he came home we actually conceived,” Lauren said in 2019.
“And then at about six-and-a-half, seven weeks I miscarried.”
When asked why she came forward with her story of losing her child, Lauren replied:
“I didn’t want to hold this in. I wanted to share it for other people going through it and just be honest so I can kind of heal through the process.”
A year after becoming a first-time dad, Mike revealed that he and his spouse were considering a second baby … just seven months after Romeo’s arrival.
“We actually are [thinking about baby No. 2],” the Dancing With the Stars alum told Us Weekly in January 2022.
“I don’t know about baby No. 3, but definitely baby No. 2 [is in the cards] to have a brother or sister for Romeo, for sure.”
And now it’s happening! Congratulations to the whole family!
